This will be short and sweet, I don’t know if I’m late to the party or if this will be a PSA, but do you see this amazing apparatus around my neck? No it’s not the latest Beats by Dre, it’s a neck fan!! A Damn neck fan!! I had no idea this widget from heaven existed. About a month ago I started having hot flashes. At 54 I was expecting them but obviously not welcoming them. And they just started out of nowhere, I’m sitting on the couch watching tv, and the next minute I’m trying to find ANYTHING to counter this sudden inferno! I was using this beautiful hand fan my bestie gifted me, but alas it was fashionable but not very functional, in that it provided relief but my wrist wasn’t happy about it.

So to all my menopastrychef (I prefer this to the other “m” word) mavens out there who are looking for relief from the dreaded personal summers, get yourself this neck fan. Your head, neck, and armpits will thank you for it. And when you’re out and about you can wear it and people will think you’re rocking a set of headphones! Nobody’s business that your internal thermostat has gone haywire. By the way, it also works for those horrid night sweats as well. Here’s to a cool new you!
